Working to Build Healthy Communities and Drug-Free Youth
  • Reduced alcohol annual prevalence for seniors
  • Increased  the percentage of parents who talk with their H.S. child about underage drinking on a monthly
    basis
  • Increased  the number of alcohol permit holders who participate in yearly Responsible Beverage
    Seller/Server trainings
  • Increased compliance in Northern Wood County regarding under age sales of alcohol by alcohol permit
    holders from 72% in 2005 to 91% in 2008
  • Implemented PASA Teen Board to give students a voice in prevention
  • Provide peer education for Students in grades K-8 on the harmful effects of tobacco, marijuana,
    resistance skills, good decision making and goal setting.
  • Provide BABES (Beginning Alcohol and Addictions Basic Education) to second grades in Perrysburg
    Schools
  • Served on the Governor's POLICY PANEL ON CHILDHOOD DRINKING
  • Selected as one of the 2,000 communitiy comalitions across the nation to host a Town Hall Meeting in
    2006 and 2008 that addressed teh issues of childhood and adolescent drinking
  • Provided annual High School adn Junior High School Student/Parent Resource Directories since 2003.
  • Provided 7,000 volunteer prevention hours during 2007-2008.
  • Launched CHALLENGE DAY in Rossford and Perrysburg to create a safe school environment --All
    10th grade PHS students participate
  • Recognized in 2008 as one of the Top Three Community Coalitions in the nation for getting outcomes by
    Community Anti Drug Coalitions of America  (CADCA)
  • 2006 State Exemplary Prevention Program Award Winner | ODADAS
  • Implemented Community Action Life Line (CALL)
  • Provided Life Skills Trainings to Chillicothe, Upper Sandusky, Bellevue, and Defiance teachers and
    health professionals
  • Approved as BWC DRUG FREE WORKPLACE PROGRAM provider in 2004
